I thank you for your advertisement in Graduate land inviting applications for internship position of “Operations Team coordinator”, and hereby submit my application for your kind consideration.

SPAR, an acronym of the Dutch phrase (in English) “through unlimited cooperation everyone regularly benefits”, is the main attraction for me to join this company as it matches my philosophy of life. Besides this, my qualification, ambition and interest make me to feel that I am the right candidate for this internship. Also, I shall be proud to work for this 83-year-old multinational retail chain with approximately 12,200 stores in 40 countries. Above all, I am confident my internship with SPAR, a household name around the world, will make me a successful leader in Supply & Chain Management (SCM).

“Fresh Food Supply Chain in smart cities (Bordeaux)” is the project I have done in my college, which has strongly equipped me to take up any internship position in SCM. Apart from application of SCM concepts in the project, we have given due importance to reduction of food waste and CO2 emission. We also dealt how a logistics company, local transport networks and concept of cross-docking can be integrated in transportation of food. We emphasized the importance of traceability which increases the supply chain visibility. We proposed very well described scenarios using the KPI’s which directly relates to improvement in providing customers with the best quality at a competitive price and with high level of service.

With my educational background, the knowledge I gained from my “Masters in Global Supply Chain Management” with KEDGE Business School, Bordeaux, France (ranked 2nd globally), work experience, interpersonal skills, computer skills (including SAP course at KEDGE), leadership qualities and abilities of a successful team player in a multilingual atmosphere, I am sure I will complete my internship with utmost satisfaction of my superiors. I assure the management that I will not spare any of efforts to prove myself an asset to the company.

I am ready to take up the internship from 1st of June, 2016.
